Tammy Lyn Rich, age 57, of Lapoint, passed away November 9, 2022, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
She was born November 2, 1965, in Heber City, Utah, to Lanny and Cheryl Swope Young. She married Shayne Dee Rich on September 1, 2011, in Duchesne.
Tammy graduated from Duchesne High School and then two days later left to be nanny in New York. She was fearless and wanted to get out of the Basin. After her return, she attended Weber State University and received her Registered Nursing degree. She worked at Primary Children’s Hospital and at various care centers. She enjoyed doing crafts and would rather do anything else in the world other than dishes and cleaning the house! She was good hearted, ornery (after her dad), and very intelligent. She was also a good horsewoman.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Shayne, of Lapoint; a daughter, Shanley Gnagey, Vernal; her parents, Lanny & Cheryl Young; a sister, Audra (Ray) Morlan; a brother, Cameron (Jessica) Young, all of Duchesne; and nieces and nephews, Skyler, Darian, Jaxon, Lexi, Coden, Dallas, and Kesney.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Miriam & Bert Young; and Susana Doty.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Burial in the Fruitland Cemetery.
