Still have family around Duchesne?

Nope...like me they all bolted for greener pastures...so to speak.

How often do you get back to Duchesne?

Rarely...mostly pass through once a year on my way to Roosevelt/Vernal to visit with my sons and their families.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Rarely...kind of lost touch since leaving Duchesne

What did you do right after high school?

Joined the Marine Corps and traveled the world.

What do you do now?

Retired from the United States Marine Corps more than 5 years ago (Dec 2003) and now serve as an Air Traffic Supervisor for the FAA in southern Arizona.

Married? To who? When? How long?

Shelley Larsen (Mullins) - 1981 - 10 years - Divorced
Carla McFarland - 1992 - 11 years - Divorced

I figured that after going 0-2 in the marriage department it was time to hang it up. Now I concentrate on my children and my career and will let everything else fall into place.

Grandkids?

Yup...it happens when you start having kids at such an early age.
My eldest son Tyler and his wife Angie have two sons, Brayden and McKay.
My second son, Brett, has a daughter, Kynleigh; and a son, Teagan.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Mostly act as a taxi for my daughters to their various events. I occasionally find the time to go hunting, golfing, 4-wheeling, and riding my motorcycles. I try and backpack into the High Uintas ever other year or so and enjoy the clean mountain air immensely. However, there is nothing like the open road on my Harley-Davidson RoadKing or my Softail Custom.

What's the farthest you've been from home?

I would have to say my tours in the Middle East (Kuwait/Iraq) were the farthest...although I spent substantial time in the Orient as well.

What’s your favorite memory of Duchesne High?

Wrestling and Football trips...miss those days of hanging out with David Wilkinson, Ray Liddell, Darren Brady, Kelly Bailey, Craig Bailey, and the rest of the heathens we often traveled with.

Least favorite memory?

Being married and a father at 16. You want to talk about some tough times...try and live with that stigma in Duchesne!!!

What would we be surprised to know about you?

That I turned out nothing like the rest of my family...well, maybe that is not so much of a surprise afterall!!!
